Chandigarh, October 12 :Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the Shri Kartarpur Saheb corridor on November 8. Union Minister Harsimrat Kaur Badal has revealed this by tweeting.

In her tweet, she said,

However, there was no announcement from Pakistan about this inauguration when the Government of Pakistan is going to open this corridor. Till now, there is a dispute regarding the per-reverential fee for entry into the corridor by Pakistan. It is worth mentioning that Pakistan has also made it clear that the corridor will be opened soon from Pakistan side, whereas earlier there has been a statement from Pakistan that Pakistan will open the corridor on November 9.

It is also noteworthy that on October 14, the Union Home Secretary is also coming to see the progress of construction of the corridor in the Dera Baba Nanak area. Officials overseeing the corridor project had sometime back informed that Indian Sikh pilgrims would be allowed to visit Kartarpur Sahib from 9 November. Significantly, this corridor will connect Gurdwara Darbar Saheb in Kartarpur with Dera Baba Nanak falling in Gurdaspur area of Punjab.
