Pratapgarh, Antu, and Bishnathganj railway stations in UP renamed

Lucknow, 6 Oct: According to an official statement issued, the names of three railway stations in Uttar Pradesh have been changed: Pratapgarh, Bishnathganj, and Antu. Northern Railways’ Lucknow division is responsible for these stations.

Pratapgarh station has been renamed “Maa Belha Devi Dham Pratapgarh Junction,” while Antu station has been renamed “Maa Chandrika Devi Dham Antu.” Besides, Bishnathganj station will henceforth be named ‘Shanidev Dham Bishnathganj’.

The railway station alpha codes have also been changed: Junction of Maa Belha Devi Dham and Pratapgarh – MBDP

Shanidev Dham Bishnathganj is SBTJ and Maa Chandrika Devi Dham Antu is MCDA.

The Jhansi railway station was renamed ‘Veerangana Lakshmibai Railway Station’ earlier this year. Previously, the Uttar Pradesh government called Allahabad Prayagraj and Faizabad Ayodhya. Mughalsarai Railway Station was renamed the ‘Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Railway Station’.
