PM Modi to visit Kolkata on January 23, Netaji Subhash Memorial Museum to be inaugurated

New Delhi, 19 January: The main event will be held in Kolkata on January 23 on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. In this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate an exhibition of the Netaji Subhash Memorial Museum.

However, there will be programs in Kolkata and Cuttack along with Haripura on the occasion of ‘Parakram Divas’ on January 23.

In a press conference held on Tuesday, Union Culture Minister Prahlad Singh Patel said that the surviving soldiers of Azad Hind Fauj would be honoured on the birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. Netaji’s letters will be edited and published in book form.

Prahlada Patel said that there will be a heritage walk at places related to Netaji’s life, there will be many programs related to Netaji on AIR and Doordarshan. Other books on Netaji, INA will also be published.

He said that an express train will be run in the name of Netaji and a memorial will be built in memory of the martyrs of INA.

However, memorial of Netaji to be built in Cuttack, the Union Ministry of Culture and Tourism is planning to build two memorials of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. A grand memorial will be built in Cuttack, his birthplace. With this, all the ministries will organize programs at their own level throughout the year.

The Central government has decided to celebrate Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s birth anniversary on January 23 every year as ‘Parakram Divas’.
