Lucknow, 15 Aug: Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, said on Tuesday that the people of the country value ‘Mother India’ above all else, regardless of religion or region of the country they are from.

Speaking after hoisting the national flag at an Independence Day ceremony at the Vidhan Bhavan here, he emphasised that everyone should have the conviction that “if I discharge my duties, then my future generation will honour me.”

According to a release, the chief minister stated, “We are all seeing a “new India.” ‘Despite our differences in look, clothing, and diet, our emotions remain the same. Indians can be from the east, west, north, or south, and of any faith, but they prioritise Mother India above everything else.

”Mother India, our nation, is their top priority,” he explained. Citing examples of cultural oneness, he stated that thousands of years ago, Aadishankar, a monk born in Kerala, created ‘peeths’ in four corners of the country. ”Today, the country is moving forward with a new mindset. The G20 is being chaired by India, which is led by Prime Minister (Narendra) Modi. It is a moment for every Indian to be proud,” Adityanath said, adding that Uttar Pradesh would host 11 G20 activities.

On the occasion, he also stated that improved law and order and security in Uttar Pradesh had transformed people’s opinion of the state. He described Uttar Pradesh as a ”infrastructure state,” pointing to the several highway developments in the state.

He stated that India’s goal is to become the world’s third biggest economy by 2027. ”Uttar Pradesh is home to around one-fifth of the country’s population. The state with such a vast population has some responsibility as well. Uttar Pradesh is performing well in agriculture. It has an 11% stake in this industry,” Adityanath added.

He said that as a consequence of ”farmers” efforts, Uttar Pradesh had succeeded in generating 20% of the country’s food grains. ”Continuous work is being done in Uttar Pradesh to increase it,’ added the chief minister.
