Lucknow, 05 May: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed grief over the incident of tampering with the statue of national hero Maharana Pratap in Mainpuri and assured that the culprits will not be spared under any circumstances.

Chief Minister Yogi said that these people patronize, encourage, glorify mafia, rioters and terrorist elements and on the other hand, insult national leaders. He said that this is the state when the Samajwadi Party, after coming to power in 2012, made a malicious attempt to withdraw the cases of the terrorists who attacked Ram Janmabhoomi in Ayodhya, Sankatmochan Temple in Kashi, Lucknow courts as well as the CRPF camp in Rampur. . Recently, when a notorious mafia dies, the National President of Samajwadi Party himself visits his house to express his condolences.

How was their behavior with Ram devotees during the Ramjanmabhoomi movement in Ayodhya, how was the conduct of Samajwadi Party on the death of former Chief Minister Late Kalyan Singh who played an important role in the development of the state and the way they behaved with the statue of national hero Maharana Pratap on Saturday. The insulting and contemptuous behavior of Samajwadi Party leaders is highly condemnable. I condemn this act. This was the behavior not only of Samajwadi Party but also of Rahul Gandhi in Maharashtra, when a supporter there tried to give him the statue of Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj, he refused to take it. It is clear that they will not respect national heroes, but will glorify terrorists, glorify Pakistan, glorify mafia and people with criminal tendencies, who are becoming a problem for the safety of daughters and businessmen. The people of the country are watching and will give them the right answer in the Janardhan elections.

Chief Minister Yogi clearly said that when a leader wears the cloak of shamelessness and does selfish politics, his selfishness is limited to his family, then such scenes come to the fore. Be it the incident in Mainpuri or the incident in Maharashtra, Congress, Samajwadi Party and National Conference, all three are on the same plate. Much cannot be expected from them.

It is noteworthy that Samajwadi Party had taken out an election rally in Mainpuri late on Saturday night. During this time, his (SP) supporters wore shoes and put party flags on the statue of Maharana Pratap. BJP along with Kshatriya Samaj and social organizations have expressed strong protest against the insult to the national hero and great man. Police have also registered a case against more than 90 SP workers in this case.
