Chapra/Patna, 2 February: After a video of a senior IAS officer abusing Bihar State Administrative Officers in a meeting and remarking contemptuously against the state, Bihar Administrative Service Association (BASA) decided to lodge a case against him.

Pathak, who is the Additional chief secretary of Excise and Prohibition, is seen saying cursing the state. “What kind of people reside here; people in Chennai always follow rules and keep to the left and here in Bihar, even after seeing the red light, people honk,” he said.

Then his ire is directed against Deputy Collectors in the video. “I will discipline the BASA also (BASA ka Band Bajata Hun).”

Taking strong exception to this, BASA president Sushil Tiwary said that Pathak has gone mentally ill and he has no right to continue on the post. He has demanded dismissal of Patahk and threatened to launch agitation if the demand is not fulfilled.
