No plastic bottles to be used in the meetings and government offices: UP Chief Secretary

Lucknow, Sept 17: Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari has directed all the Commissioners and DMs to implement the public beneficiary schemes and programs transparently in order to benefit the eligible beneficiaries. He said no discrepancy will be tolerated as far as administrative duty is concerned so the officers should ensure to discharge their administrative duties transparently. No plastic bottles should be used in the government offices and in the meeting.

He said that that the implementation of ‘Swacchta hi sewa Pakhwada’ should be done on priority by ensuring better sanitation. He said that no compromise with quality should be made during the implementation of government schemes. In case of misuse of government money strict action will be taken against the concerned officers and the concerned executive organizations.

Chief Secretary has issued these directives to all the Commissioners and DMs while reviewing the progress of public beneficiary schemes through video conferencing. Tiwari has directed to purchase necessary equipment by forming a District level committee to utilize the sum of Rs. 428 crore given under Swacch Bharat Mission Scheme (Urban) transparently.

He also added to ensure appropriate action to include the left eligible beneficiaries under the Pradhanmantri Krishi Yojana Scheme as soon as possible. He said to be on the alert and also to continue the work for prevention of communicable disease for the upcoming month also so that it cannot be spread.

He also directed to ensure supply of electricity at the division, district and village level as per the instruction of the state government, and said that procedures should be ensured for recovery of the amount of electricity dues. He said that residual power dues should be collected by issuing RCs of big defaulters who do not pay electricity bills within the stipulated time-period.

He said that as a result of supply 12 lakh metric tons of UREA for the Kharif crop, at least 15 lakh metric tones of UREA should be provided for the upcoming Rabi Crop. He said that district wise property register should be prepared for maintenance of properties of co-operative department and to prevent them from illegal encroachment.

Chief Secretary has also directed all the Additional Chief Secretaries, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries to ensure appropriate action for the disposal of the complaints received under CM Helpline-1076 transparently in their respective departments. He said that the complainant should be fully satisfied by the action taken for the disposal of his grievances.

Tiwari while reviewing the progress of disposal of the complaint received department wise, added that if the complainant is not fully satisfied after the disposal of his complaint then he/she should be intimated regarding the rules also, in order to satisfy him. He also added that no disposal should be done on basis of false complaint and information, otherwise strict action will be taken against the concerned employee also.
