NIA raids 19 places in 4 states: 8 ISIS henchmen, including kingpin Mohammad Suleman arrested

New Delhi: December 18: Cracking down on the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS), the National Investigation Agency (NIA) raided 19 locations in four states on Monday.

Along with this, eight operatives of the Bellary module of the banned terrorist organisation were arrested. Their leader, Minaj, was also included in these. The eight henchmen were working under the leadership of Minaz, alias Mohammad Suleman.

Apart from Bellary and Bengaluru in Karnataka, the NIA team also conducted raids in Amravati, Mumbai, and Pune in Maharashtra, Jamshedpur, Bokaro, and Delhi in Jharkhand. During this period, eight people involved in actively promoting the terrorist activities of the banned organization ISIS were arrested.

The arrested people have been identified as Minaj, alias Mohammad Suleman, and Syed Sameer of Bellary. The names are Anas Iqbal Sheikh from Mumbai, Mohammad Muniruddin, Syed Samiullah alias Sami, and Mohammad Muzammil from Bengaluru, Shayan Rehman alias Hussain from Delhi, and Mohammad Shahbaz alias Zulfikar alias Guddu from Jamshedpur.

During the raid, the NIA recovered explosive raw materials like sulphur, potassium nitrate, charcoal, gunpowder, sugar, and ethanol from the premises of these people. Along with this, sharp-edged weapons, unaccounted cash, incriminating documents, smartphones, and other digital devices have also been seized.
