New train will run from Meerut to Lucknow, Prayagraj: Ashwini Vaishnav

Meerut, 30 November: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said on Thursday that a new train will run from Meerut to Lucknow and Prayagraj.

The target is to start a new railway line from Hastinapur to Bijnor. Meerut City Railway Station will be made world class.

Railway Minister Vaishnav reached Meerut to participate in the Vikas Bharat Sankalp Yatra. The Union Minister was welcomed at the Chanakyapuri residence of MP Rajendra Aggarwal.

Railway Minister inspected Meerut City Railway Station. The Railway Minister told journalists that a new train will start from Meerut to Lucknow and Prayagraj in 2024. Hastinapur is a part of our history and culture. A new railway line will be laid through Hastinapur to Bijnor. Its DPR is being prepared. It has been resolved to make Meerut City Railway Station world class. While inspecting the railway station, he gave directions to the officials.

Railway Minister participated in the Bharat Sankalp Yatra program organized at Gymkhana Ground. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech was telecast live. He handed over the keys of houses to the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.

The Union Minister held a meeting with public representatives and officials of BJP.

On this occasion, MP Agarwal, Mayor Harikant Ahluwalia, MLA Amit Agarwal, MLC Dr. Sarojini Agarwal, BJP Metropolitan President Suresh Jain Rituraj, District President Shivkumar Rana, Divisional Commissioner Selva Kumari J., District Magistrate Deepak Meena etc. were present.
