Brand-new ‘Ayodhya-city’ is coming up as ‘Ikshvaku Nagari’, two thousand acres of land identified

Ayodhya / Varanasi / Lucknow, 28 November: New city will be developed in Ayodhya, the city of Lord Ram, in the name of the first Suryavanshi king Ikshvaku. For this, two thousand acres of land have been identified by the Uttar Pradesh government and the district administration.

A proposal is being prepared by the Yogi government to establish a new Ayodhya in the name of ‘Ikshvaku Nagari’. Its first presentation was showcased in Varanasi on Tuesday night to the Chief Minister of  Yogi Adityanath, Principal Secretary (Home) Avneesh Awasthi, Jitendra Kumar and Sarkaryavah Suresh Joshi Aapakhya Bhaiya Ji, Dr. Krishna Gopal, Champat Rai, Sunil Bansal of the RSS.

Ikshvaku settled the city of Ayodhya

Ikshvaku was the king of Ayodhya. The Puranas state that the first Suryavanshi was the son of King Ikshvaku Vaivasvatmanu. It was he who established the Kosala kingdom in Ayodhya. He had a hundred sons. Fifty of these ruled in Uttarapath and fifty in Dakshinapatha. It is said that Ikshvaku was born from the sneeze of Manu. That is why he was named Ikshvaku. Later in his dynasty there were majestic kings like Raghu, Dilip, Aja, Dasaratha and Rama.

It was in this dynasty that majestic people like Raja Prithu, Mandhata, Dilip, Sagara, Bhagiratha, Raghu, Ambarish, Nabhag, Trishanku, Triyun, Nahusha and Satyavadi Harishchandra were born.

If sources are to be believed, Ikshvaku city will expand on the borders of Saryu. The first phase of the project will cost seven thousand crores. It is believed that along with the foundation stone for the construction of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, this new Ayodhya project may also be announced.

Apart from Ayodhya, it is proposed to acquire land in neighboring districts of Barabanki, Ambedkar Nagar and Gonda for the new Ikshvaku city.

If sources are to be believed, on Wednesday a separate meeting of the top officials of the Sangh and the Kashi Vidhyat Parishad was held, in which there was a discussion about the construction of the Ram temple. In this, there was talk on making the temple consecration method and worship method as scriptural. The meeting also discussed the nature of the proposed trust for the Ram temple.

The Minister of Tourism, Religion and Culture of Uttar Pradesh, Dr. Neelkanth Tiwari told  that in this new Ayodhya, the cultural, religious, historical, mythological, political and social history of the Ramayana period will be introduced in new contexts. For this, research centers, auditoriums, gurukuls, gaushalas etc. will be built.
