Kanpur, 3 September: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a big announcement regarding ‘Deep Tech in the Industry-Academic Connectivity Program with ‘Samanvay’ of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur.
He said that concrete steps should be taken towards making the state the centre of “India Deep Tech 2025”. For this, there is a need to organize an effective summit on Deep Tech, so that research and innovation can get a new direction. IIT Kanpur will be made the main center of Deep Tech Innovation.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing after inaugurating the Industry-Academic Connectivity Program with ‘Samanvay’ of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in Kanpur on Wednesday.
Chief Minister said that we should move towards becoming India’s first ‘Deep Tech India 2025’, for this there should be a good summit, where concrete work can be done on Deep Tech India. IIT Kanpur should be made its center. Along with this, special emphasis will be laid on promoting startups and preparing the youth for global technical competition, so that Uttar Pradesh can become the pioneer of technological revolution in the coming times.
Yogi stated that the state government has also allotted land for this in Gautam Buddha Nagar district. He said that I would like IIT Kanpur to lead it, so that it is able to give new leadership to the whole country towards today’s challenges. IIT Kanpur has the capability to remove the apprehensions in the minds of the youth. For this, the cooperation of DRDO, ISRO and other institutions can also be taken.
It is worth mentioning that deep tech refers to such new advanced technologies, which are based on scientific and engineering innovations. These include AI, quantum computing, biotechnology and robotics etc., which aim to solve complex social and economic problems. The National Deep Tech Startup Policy (NDTSP) is already working on this.
