NDA crosses 200 mark in Bihar, BJP largest party, RJD reduces to 25, INC only 2 as counting of votes is underway, PM Modi to address party workers at 6pm

Patna, November 14: The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) seems to be heading towards a massive victory in Bihar. According to the latest trends, the NDA has taken a lead in 201 seats out of 243 seats in the state. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is heading towards becoming the largest party in Bihar. In the trends so far, the BJP is leading in 96 seats.

Counting of votes is underway at all 46 polling stations in Bihar. According to the latest trends of the Election Commission, the NDA is heading towards winning more than a clear majority.

Talking about the trends till 4 pm, the NDA has taken a massive lead over the Grand Alliance. So far, the NDA is leading in 204 seats, while the Grand Alliance is leading in only 31 seats. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the BJP headquarters in the national capital Delhi at 6 pm and address the party workers.

Bihar Elections: NDA gets a huge majority in the initial trends

Counting of votes is underway for all 243 assembly seats in Bihar. In the initial four hours of trends, the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) seems to be getting a huge majority. BJP is leading in 85 seats, JDU in 76 and LJP (Rabi) in 20 seats.

According to the Election Commission, NDA is leading in 190 seats out of all 243 seats. As per the data till 12.15 pm, BJP is leading in 85 seats, while JDU is leading in 76 seats. LJP-R is leading in 20, HAM-04 and RLM-03 seats. On the other hand, the Grand Alliance seems to be facing a setback. Currently, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) is leading in 35 seats, Congress in 06, CPI-ML in 07, CPM in 01 and VIP in 01.

JDU’s Anant Singh is ahead by 5500 votes from Mokama.

In Mokama, which is considered to be the hottest seat of Bihar, Anant Singh is leading in the initial counting of votes, while Surajbhan Singh’s wife Veena Devi is trailing. After five rounds of counting, Anant Singh is leading by 5546 votes. He has got 19524 votes, while Veena Devi has got 13978 votes. Priyadarshi Piyush of Jansuraj could get only 2473 votes from this seat till the fifth round. Both Anant Singh and Surajbhan Singh belong to the Bhumihar caste and both are strongmen.

BJP’s Nitish Mishra Leads in Jhanjharpur

In the Jhanjharpur Assembly constituency in Bihar, NDA candidate Nitish Mishra has taken a clear lead over his Grand Alliance rival, Ram Narayan Yadav, in early trends. After the third round of counting, Nitish Mishra has secured 11,702 votes, leading by 6,968 votes, while Ram Narayan Yadav has secured 4,734 votes. Keshav Chandra Bhandari of the Jan Suraj Party has so far secured only 964 votes. In the first round, Nitish Mishra was ahead with a lead of 2,559 votes, with 4,287 votes. Ram Narayan Yadav had secured 1,728 votes, and Keshav Chandra Bhandari had secured 293 votes.

RJD’s Tejashwi Yadav, the Grand Alliance’s chief ministerial candidate, is trailing in the Raghopur Assembly constituency after the fifth round. Singer Maithili Thakur, contesting for the first time on a BJP ticket, is leading in the Alinagar seat. Tej Pratap Yadav is trailing by more than 10,000 votes in Mahua.
