Muzaffarnagar, July 14: The Uttar Pradesh Special Task Force (UP-STF) and police team took joint action and killed Mukhtar Ansari gang’s shooter Shahrukh Pathan in an encounter on Monday. He also worked for gangster Sanjeev Maheshwari Jeeva Gang, police said.
Shahrukh Pathan had an encounter with UP STF’s Meerut unit and police near Bijopura intersection. He was killed in this. He was a resident of Khalapar Muzaffarnagar and had a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head. A car and pistol have been recovered from him. There are many cases of robbery and murder against the criminal.
STF ASP Brijesh Kumar has confirmed this. He told that on the basis of an information, the STF team surrounded the criminal in a car. After this, several rounds of bullets were fired from the criminal’s side. In retaliation, the police opened fire. Mukhtar Ansari’s shooter Shahrukh was injured due to the bullet. He was admitted to the hospital in an injured condition, where doctors declared him dead during treatment. Three pistols including a country-made pistol and more than 50 cartridges were recovered from him.
