Mujhe Drug Do: Mumbai court rejects bail plea of Aryan Khan, 2 others

Mumbai/New Delhi, 08 October: A Mumbai court Friday rejected the bail pleas of film actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Aryan Khan, his friends Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha arrested in the high-profile drugs party case on a cruise ship.

The matter was heard in the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court, Mumbai. After hearing the arguments of Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and defense lawyers, the court rejected the bail plea of โ€‹โ€‹the three accused.

The court said that it does not have the right to hear the bail application. Now Aryan Khan and other accused will have to appeal in the Sessions Court for bail.

Earlier, 8 accused including Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were shifted to Arthur Road Jail and Byculla Jail in Mumbai after undergoing medical tests by NCB.

According to official sources, six of the eight male accused have been shifted to Arthur Road Jail and two female accused to Byculla Jail.

In fact, on Thursday, the court had ordered to send all the accused to judicial custody for 14 days, but the hearing went on till late and there is no entry in the jail after seven o’clock in the evening, so 8 accused including Aryan were kept in the lockup of NCB.

It is noteworthy that on October 2, the NCB arrested eight accused including Aryan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha in the drugs party case on the Cordelia The Impress cruise ship going from Mumbai to Goa. All these accused were in the custody of NCB till 7 October (Thursday).

The Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Mumbai, on Thursday ordered to send the accused to 14-day judicial custody. So far 18 people have been arrested in this case.
