Lucknow, August 09: So far, 35,000 passengers travelled in the metro trains of the capital Lucknow on Monday. This number of passengers is the highest in a single day since it restarted services after the second wave of Corona in Unlock-02. However, this figure is expected to increase further.

Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRCL) Managing Director (MD) Kumar Keshav said that the number of passengers in Lucknow Metro is increasing continuously in the post-Corona situation. After Unlock-02, for the first time on Monday, 35,000 passengers have travelled by metro trains in Lucknow in a day. This number of passengers is more than 50 percent before Corona. I am grateful to the passengers for their increasing confidence in Lucknow Metro.

He said that at present, all arrangements are in place to ensure safe travel in metro stations and trains in view of Covid. Special care is being taken for sanitization and physical distance for safe and smooth travel. The increasing number of passengers in the metro train is a symbol of the trust of the people of Lucknow.
