Moradabad hostel superintendent suspended over financial irregularities, probe against DSWO

Lucknow, July 11: The Moradabad Government Scheduled Caste Hostel Superintendent Pravesh Kumari has been suspended. She is accused of not getting the work of Rs 10 lakh released for the maintenance of the hostel done. Along with this, State Minister (Independent Charge) of Social Welfare Department Asim Arun has ordered an inquiry against the District Social Welfare Officer.

State Minister Asim Arun told that on July 7, he had come to attend a program of a hostel in the district. During the program, the students of Government Scheduled Caste Hostel had made many complaints to him. On the basis of complaints, Deputy Director of Meerut Division Sunita Yadav reached Moradabad hostel on July 10 and investigated. In the investigation, she found that 14 cameras were purchased on paper in March but were not installed. The cameras were installed on July 9 before her arrival.

Similarly, the 42 inch TV was also mentioned on paper to be installed in March, but the TV was installed on July 7. Not only this, the investigating officer has also found irregularities in the painting of rooms, windows, repair and painting of the main gate.
