West Bengal/New Delhi, January 18: The Senior Bharatiya Janata Party leader and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a public rally in Singur, West Bengal, on Sunday, called for political change in the state.

He said that the BJP and NDA stopped the ‘Maha Jungle Raj’ in Bihar, and now West Bengal is also ready to end the ‘Maha Jungle Raj’ of the Trinamool Congress.

Addressing a political rally here, Prime Minister Modi sought voters’ support for the BJP on the issues of development, good governance, and security. He once again raised the issues of security and infiltration, saying that the Trinamool Congress government protects infiltrators and creates fake documents. Now is the time to stop infiltration and identify and deport those who have settled illegally.

He told voters that each of their votes can make this change possible.

He also accused the Trinamool Congress of failing to address issues related to education, women’s safety, and law and order. He said that the education system is under the control of mafia and corruption, and there are serious concerns about the safety of women.

He appealed to the people of the state to vote for the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections, saying this would curb violence, crime, and corruption. He also called for the elimination of syndicate taxes and mafiaism.

At the meeting, the Prime Minister raised the issue of fishermen. He said that millions of families in Bengal are engaged in the fishing business, and there is immense export potential. To achieve this, fishermen need assistance and better technology.

He explained that the central government has created a digital platform for fishermen across the country, on which state governments are required to register, but this process is stalled in Bengal.

He alleged that the Trinamool government is not cooperating, preventing fishermen from receiving the benefits of the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana.

The BJP leader said that a double-engine government led by the BJP is necessary in Bengal. He claimed that wherever such governments exist, better work has been done under central schemes.

Citing the example of Delhi, he said that earlier the government there was not implementing the Ayushman Bharat scheme but after the change of power, the poor are getting free treatment. He said that the people of Bengal have also made up their mind to teach a lesson to the Trinamool government.

Discussing the rich tradition of Bengali language and literature, the Prime Minister said that due to the efforts of the BJP government, Bengali language got the status of classical language and Durga Puja got a place in the UNESCO cultural heritage list. He said that his constant effort is to serve the youth, farmers and mothers and sisters of Bengal but the Trinamool government of the state does not allow the central schemes to be implemented properly.

He said that he has come to Singur at a time when the country is celebrating the 150th anniversary of Vande Mataram. A special discussion was held in Parliament on this occasion, and the entire nation paid homage to the sage Bankim Chandra Chatterjee.

He said that Hooghly and Vande Mataram have a special relationship, and it is believed that this song found its complete form here. The Prime Minister said that just as Vande Mataram became the slogan of independence, it should become the mantra for the development of West Bengal and India. The Prime

Minister mentioned the efforts made by the Central Government in honor of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose. He said that a statue of Netaji was installed in front of India Gate, the contribution of the Azad Hind Fauj was paid tribute for the first time from the Red Fort, and islands in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands were named after Netaji.

He said that, in a change to the tradition of national events, it was decided to begin the events on January 23, Netaji’s birth anniversary, and conclude on January 30, Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary.

It’s noteworthy that this public meeting in Singur took place ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in West Bengal. Singur is the same place where the Trinamool Congress came to power, ending the Left Front government in the state through a movement against the Tata factory.
