New Delhi ,Aug 29 : Prime Minister Narendra Modi started the ‘Fit India campaign’ in the capital Delhi on Thursday morning. This movement has been launched on the occasion of National Sports Day. After launching the campaign, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in the program that on this day we had received great sports persons as Major Dhyanchand, today the country is bowing to him. Through the Fit India Movement, important steps have been taken in the direction of Healthy India.

PM Modi said in the program that today the country needs to make Fit India a mass movement. Also, the young players who are illuminating the name of the country in sports will be encouraged. The PM said that our government has taken many steps to improve sports life. Modi said that fitness is not just a word, but a necessary condition for living a healthy life.

At the Indira Gandhi Stadium in Delhi, where these events are being held, there are many celebrities including Bharatiya Janata Party MP Gautam Gambhir, Manoj Tiwari, actress Shilpa Shetty.

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty has shared a video and appealed people to join this campaign. While sharing the video, she wrote in the caption, “To be fit in today’s run-of-the-mill life is as important as breathing. So I appeal people to join the Fit India campaign, the initiative of @PMOIndia of the venerable Prime Minister. Let fitness be your life. Take an oath to make way. “

In this video, Shilpa has shown various yoga poses. Shilpa is the fitness icon of the film industry. She has also participated in many fitness campaigns before.While sharing the video, actress Payal Rohatgi has given the message to people to stay fit. Payal is seen flipping in the video.

Notably, the committee was recently formed for the Fit India Movement campaign, which included the Indian Olympic Association (IOA), National Sports Association (NSF), government officials, private bodies and well-known fitness celebrities. According to the official announcement, it includes actress Shilpa Shetty and Milind Soman. The chairman of this committee is Union Sports Minister Kiran Rijiju. Under this, every college and university will have to prepare a 15-day fitness plan.

According to the official, the commission is developing a web portal, where institutes will be asked to upload their fitness action plans. Other than this, the plan of action must also put up on the institutes’ notice boards and their respective websites.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has also instructed its affiliated schools to make necessary arrangements for viewing or hearing of the fitness launch event.
