Microsoft India launches AI and cloud computing skills programme for government employees

New Delhi, August 27: Microsoft India launched a national programme called Digital Governance Tech Tour in accordance with digital India vision of government on Tuesday.

This tech tour was inaugurated by CEO of National Institution for Transforming India[ NITI ]Aayog Amitabh Kant and Ajay Prakash Sawhney of Microsoft. This programme aims at developing artificial intelligence and cloud computing skills in 5000 government officials across country over a period of 12 months. This training will be imparted through physical and virtual workshops.

On this occasion, Amitabh Kant of NITI Aayog emphasised the need to bring AI, cloud services and data analytics with help of academia in core sectors to build foundation towards an IT enabled future. President of Microsoft India, Anant Maheshwari said that AI and cloud would lead to innovation and give momentum to India’s growth and Microsoft is committed as a trusted partner to the government by enabling and empowering officials to do more with technology in service of citizens.
