Mumbai, 26 November: The decision to make Shiv Sena President Uddhav Thackeray as the Chief Minister of the Maharashtra was taken in a joint meeting of Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress held at Hotel Trident on Tuesday. In this meeting, the alliance of the three parties has also been named ‘Mahavikas- Aghadi’. It was decided in the meeting that the swearing-in ceremony of will be held at Shivaji Park ground in Dadar. So, the preparation of oath program has also been started on this ground.

On this occasion, Shiv Sena spokesman Sanjay Raut said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be invited to the oath-taking program.

The newly-elcted Chief Minister of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray quoted that he never thought in his life that he would become the Chief Minister of the Maharashtra. Uddhav said that today he was suddenly reminded of Balasaheb Thackeray and Maa Saheb. He has been facing the struggle only due to the inspiration of Balasaheb.

Uddhav contiued by saying  that he never tolerated lying in life. Today, outgoing  Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis tried again and again to prove him a liar. He blaimed that while Fadnavis may be allowed to lie in his vision of Hindutva, his vision of  Hindutva has no scope of a single lie.

Uddhav Thackeray said that he knows that there are a lot of nails in the Chief Minister’s chair and it is seen the outgoing Chief Minister used to quit the CM’s chair  with lots of issues and concerns but he is accompanied by many senior and experienced people around him.  

Uddhav Thackeray said that the people of the state should feel that the government is theirs and to retain this feeling, he will try his best to win the hearts of the public. Similarly, his efforts will be that the condition of the farmers of the state improves. Similarly, he will not work with feelings of revenge at any cost.

Nationalist Congress Party(NCP) President Sharad Pawar said that the government of ‘Mahavikas Aghadi’ to be formed in the state will prove to be a guide for the whole country. Within a few days of the formation of this government, the functioning of the government will be visible to the people. Every issue is discussed before the government is formed. Therefore, there is no problem in running the government.

Leaders and legislators of other smaller parties, including the Shiv Sena-NCP-Congress, were present at the Trident Hotel on Tuesday. In this meeting, the Common Minimum Program has been set to run the government. Also, it has been decided in the meeting that the government of ‘Mahavikas -Aghadi’ will work for the development of people of all languages, all religions and all castes. Also, efforts will be made to create social harmony in the state.

NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik said that all party leaders along with Uddhav Thackeray would go to the Raj Bhavan and claim to form the government. Malik said that the leaders of Mahavikas Aghadi are scheduled to take oath on December 1 at Shivaji Park ground.
