Mumbai, June, 16: Mumbai bomb blast accused and fugitive don Dawood Ibrahimโ€™s aide Chhota Shakeel’s elder sister Hamida has died of novel coronavirus (Covid-19) and her treatment was going on in Mumbra, Thane.

However, within 1 month, two sisters of Chhota Shakeel have died. Last month, younger sister Fahmida Shaikh died.

The younger sister died due to a cardiac arrest. However, her corona investigation was also done. Fahmida used to live with her family on Mira Road, Mumbai. Her husband Arif Sheikh runs the property business. After his sister’s death, Chhota Shakeel spoke to his brother-in-law Arif and family over the phone.

In the mid-60s, Chhota Shakeel used to operate a suspicious travel agency in Mumbai. In the 1980s he reunited with Dawood and emerged as a mafia. He is considered very close to Dawood. Many probe agencies say that he used to operate Dawood’s D Company there.

After being arrested under the National Security Act (NSA) in 1988, Chhota Shakeel spent nearly four months in jail.

As soon as he got bail, he ran away to Dubai. Later, in March 1993, both conspired and carried out the Mumbai serial bomb blast in India’s biggest terrorist attack.
