Aligarh, 9 Aug: According to authorities, a lawyer was shot dead in a congested area in the Civil Lines region of this Uttar Pradesh district on Wednesday.
Abdul Mugis, a district court lawyer, was riding his motorbike across the main route connecting the Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital to Dhaura Maafi when some unidentified persons reportedly shot at him, according to Senior Superintendent of Police Kalanidhi Naithani, the police said.
According to Nathani, Abdul was transported to the medical college hospital, where physicians proclaimed him dead.
According to preliminary findings, the murder might be linked to a property dispute, according to authorities.
According to medical campus security, the victim was approached by two motorcycle-riding attackers and shot at point-blank range. Three persons have been detained in connection with this case, and an investigation is proceeding.
