Lucknow: UP DGP Mukul Goyal removed for showing laxity in govt orders

Lucknow, May 11: The government has removed Director General of Police (DGP) Uttar Pradesh Mukul Goyal late on Wednesday evening.

According to sources, the DGP has been removed due to lack of interest in departmental work and disregarding government orders.

Releasing from the post of DGP, he has been sent to the post of DG Civil Defense. He is a 1987 batch IPS officer.

Mukul Goyal originally hailed from Muzaffarnagar (present-day Shamli). He was born on February 22 1964 in Shamli. IPS officer Mukul Goyal’s early education took place in Shamli. After that did high school from Dhanbad in Bihar and did higher education from Delhi. Apart from this, Mukul Goyal is a BTech from IIT Delhi and also has an MBA.
