Hooghly, April 14: In the season of Lok Sabha elections, all the parties are busy in their campaigning through posters, banners and wall writings. Meanwhile, a controversy has started over a wall writing of CPI(M) in Rishra Bangur Park area of Serampore Lok Sabha constituency.

On a wall captured by the CPI(M) in the area, It is written in Bengali “Remove BJMul, save the country and the state.” Moreover, Trinamool supremo Mamata Banerjee is shown standing on a lotus flower in cartoon form in the wall painting.

Local councillor and general secretary of Serampore organisational district BJP, Shashi Singh Jha, strongly objected to this wall writing. On Sunday, Shashi Singh Jha said that the CPI(M) has stooped to the lowest level of politics. Now they do not hesitate to insult even the national symbols. The lotus flower is the national flower of India. Brsides, it is offered to many deities. The faith of millions of people is associated with this flower. The people of the CPI(M) have crossed the limits of meanness. The Election Commission and the administration should take action against them.””

Rishra town Trinamool Congress president Manoj Shaw said that the ground beneath the feet of both the BJP and Trinamool parties has slipped. The public is not giving importance to them. Therefore, these people are bringing such topics in the middle of the elections to remain in the discussion. The people of Rishra are with Mamata Banerjee, and not going to be confused with such dirty tricks.””

Attempts were also made to contact CPIM candidate from Serampore Lok Sabha constituency Deepshita Dhar to know her reaction. But she could not be contacted till the time of the filing of the news.
