Far from the highest figure of Corona patients.
New Delhi, June 02: Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) scientist Dr Nivedita Gupta said that the spread of corona in the country needs to be understood rather than its community transmission.
In a press conference on Tuesday, she said that the spread of corona is fast in some areas of the country, which is being worked out in a planned way to stop it.
She added that the country is far from the highest rate of increase in Corona cases.
Recognition given to the Truenat Beta test
Dr Gupta said that the Truenat Beta Test (TBT) for Covid-19 kit prepared by the domestic company has been recognized for the testing of Corona cases in the country, which has increased the testing capacity.
โNow one lakh 20 thousand tests are being done daily in the country. Apart from this, 11-12 domestic companies are producing Reverse Transcription Polymerase Chain Reaction (RTPCR) kits in the country, which has improved the testing capacity. Now kits are in large numbers in the country,โ Dr Nivedita informed.
681 labs for testing corona in the country
Dr Nivedita Gupta apprised that 681 labs have been set up in the country to test corona. It has 476 government and 205 private labs.
Renowned scientist Raman Gangakhedkar quarantined
All the scientists who came in contact with one scientist, who was found, infected, of ICMR have been quarantined after news of a scientist of ICMR being corona positive, including Raman Gangakhedkar, senior Scientist of ICMR.
It is believed that in the meeting held two weeks ago, several senior scientists came in contact with the scientist who was later found corona positive.
