Lucknow, April 24: On Friday, the number of coronavirus positive cases in the state has reached to 1374.

The good part is that due to strict adherence to the lockdown in the state, now the cases of coronavirus are coming from fewer districts than before. At the same time, these cases are being limited to hotspots only.

11 districts completely infection free

Principal Secretary Health Amit Mohan Prasad said that a total of 1604 cases of corona have been reported so far of these 206 patients have been sent home after recovering from the disease. At the same time, the number of deaths from infection is 24.

He informed that at present there are 1374 active cases in the state. At the same time, 11 districts have been completely free from its infection. There is not a single case at this time.

80 cases found in these five districts

He told that till some time ago, where the number of patients was in three digits, it has been reduced to double digits for the last two days. This is a very good sign. So far 94 new cases have come out since Thursday evening. Most are related to sealed areas (hotspots).

Principal Secretary Health said that these 94 cases have come from 13 districts. In this way, the number of districts has also decreased. At the same time, 80 of these 94 cases are related to five districts. These districts are Kanpur, Saharanpur, Agra, Firozabad and Moradabad. 14 cases are from other districts.

He said that in this way we can succeed in controlling the Covid-19 through Containment Strategy.

4981 samples tested in a day

He said that the phone numbers of doctors of all government hospitals are being made public in the districts also for treatment through telemedicine during lockdown. At the same time, pool testing continues at Lucknow’s King Georgeโ€™s Medical University (KGMU) and SGPGI including Saifai Medical College and Meerut Medical College.

On Thursday, more than 3200 samples were sent for lab testing. Of these, 4981 samples were checked including the backlog. In this way, the number of testings done in various laboratories is also increasing continuously. Earlier on Thursday, it was reported that 3955 samples have been tested.
