Noida, 2 Jan: On December 30 and 31, liquor worth over ?9 crore was sold in Noida and Greater Noida, according to an Excise department officer on Monday. According to District Excise Officer Rakesh Bahadur Singh, Gautam Buddh Nagar, in western Uttar Pradesh, sold liquor worth approximately ?140 crore in December.
“The entire income generated for the state exchequer in December 2022 was 23% greater than in 2021,” Singh stated. According to the district excise department, 98 stores have permanent bar permits, while another 82 have temporary licences for the New Year celebrations.
According to the officer, Gautam Buddh Nagar has around 550 liquor stores spread over Noida and Greater Noida.
