Ayodhya, 24 January: The process of arrival of gifts for Ram Lalla ( infant form of Lord Ram) from across the country and the world is continuing. Ancient weapons manufacturer Nilesh Arun along with his colleagues reached Ayodhya with ‘Nandak Kharag’ ( Sword) made of gold from Mumbai on Wednesday and presented to Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

It is noteworthy that Nilesh Arun’s ancestors used to manufacture weapons for Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s army.

Nilesh Arun told that Nandan Kharag is 7 feet 3 inches tall. Its weight is 80 kg. It is made of brass and gold. However, he did not give information about its cost and how much gold was used in it.

He told that we have reverence for Shri Ramji, due to which we have constructed Nandan Kharag. He told that when the Supreme Court had given its verdict in favor of Ram temple, we had taken a pledge that after the construction of Ram temple, we will gift a sword to Ram ji. Our wish has been fulfilled today.

It has been prepared by Nilesh Arun Sakat and Nilesh Arun Sakat in the memory of Sri Rang Tatu Sakat and K Malan Sri Rang Sakat. Ganesh, Amar and their other companions along with Nilesh reached Karsevakpuram with it.

Nilesh told that there is a story in the Puranas that Lord Brahma had performed a yagya on the peak of Sumer Mountain. He showed it to the iron demon present in the yagya. Seeing him, Lord Brahma became worried that he might create obstacles in his yagya. As soon as Brahma ji was thinking, a very strong man appeared from the fire and he worshiped Brahma ji. The gods greeted him and he was called Nandak. On the request of the gods, Shri Hari wore that sword. With the blow of that sword, each and every part of the iron demon was cut off.
