Karnataka high court turns down DK Shivakumar’s plea against arrest by ED

Bengaluru,30 August: The state high court today dismissed the petition of DK Shivakumar, former Congress minister against the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate and a possible imminent arrest by the law enforcement agency.

It may be recalled here that the former minister’s plea for seeking a stay on the summons issued by Enforcement Directorate was dismissed by a single-member bench of the state high court Yesterday.

In the meantime, DK Shivakumar has left for New Delhi this afternoon to appear before the ED officials as instructed to him Yesterday late in the evening.

Following the orders of the high court, the possibilities of the former minister being arrested by the officials have increased, according to official sources.
