Kanpur, June 11: Police investigation in the Kanpur violence case has revealed new facts regarding involvement of rioters and their supporters. The video of one such sting operation has surfaced before the police, in which Muslim clerics are allegedly giving statements in relation to the perpetrators of the violence who are plotting and instigating.
Therefore, taking cognizance of this sting video, Kanpur Commissionerate Police has started a thorough probe.
In fact, Haji Salis, the general secretary of the Sunni Ulama Council, was responsible for maintaining peace on the Muslim side during the Kanpur violence. During this, a sting operation was done during one of his interviews.
In this sting video, he has made a big disclosure of the conspirators of spreading violence in Kanpur. He has named Zafar Hayat Hashmi along with many others among those who conspired for the violence.
Kanpur Commissionerate Police has taken cognizance of the sting operation video of religious leader Haji Salis.
The police have said in the matter that all the facts in this case are being thoroughly investigated. Legal action will be taken on the basis of veracity.
