Kanpur DM declares slain gangster Vikas Dubey’s financier land mafia

Kanpur, 06 May: On the basis of the report of the Anti Land Mafia Task Force constituted at the district level, the District Magistrate (DM) Naha Sharma has identified three new land mafias in the district, including Jai Bajpai, the financier of slain gangster Vikas Dubey involved in the Bikru case. Jai, who is in jail in the gangster case, is accused of illegal possession and selling of railway lands.

DM Neha Sharma said that the Anti Land Mafia Task Force of the district has identified three new land mafias. Among them, Jai Bajpai of infamous Bikru village case is also involved. Gangster action against them is also in force.

According to the report, the case of Jai Bajpai occupying and selling railway lands illegally has come to light. As such, he has been declared a land mafia. In these, action will be taken under the Land Mafia Act.

As per reports, at the same time, government lands will be made encroachment-free. Apart from this, action will be taken against one of the developers in Bingawan under the land mafia. At the same time, on the complaint of the Labour Department, the investigation on a constable of UP STF is in vogue in the matter of possession of government land. Further action will be taken after the police department’s report is received.

The District Magistrate said that action would be taken against those encroaching on government land under the Land Mafia Act.
