Kanpur: ACP’s gunner and driver clash over ‘The Kashmir Files’, suspended

Kanpur, March 22: Conflict erupted between Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Vikas Pandey’s gunner Naresh Singh and driver Swatantra Yadav over the Kashmir Files (The film based on Hindu Pandits genocide in 1990) in Kanpur.

However, gunner Naresh Singh has even got an FIR lodged against the driver Swatantra Yadav at the Swaroop Nagar police station for abusing him.

ADCP West Brijesh Srivastava said that ACP Vikas Pandey had come to the officer’s colony on March 13. The driver and gunner were present in his car outside. Gunner Naresh has lodged an FIR that at the same time the driver Swatantra Yadav started criticising the ‘The Kashmir Files’. When he protested, he got so angry that he started beating.

According to the police, Naresh has got the FIR lodged which is being investigated.

Meanwhile, the drivers Swatantra Yadav and Naresh Singh have been suspended. While investigating the matter, departmental actions will also be brought against both of them.
