Varanasi, 18 November: While targeting the Yogi government, the Akhil Bharatiya Sant Samiti has strongly objected to SP chief Akhilesh Yadav’s jibe calling the saffron-clad saints as ‘Chilamjeevi’.

The saints have warned the former Chief Minister of the state Akhilesh Yadav and asked him to apologize for the statement.

On Thursday, the National General Secretary of the Sant Samiti, Swami Jitendranand Saraswati said, “Angry by this unrestrained statement of Akhilesh Yadav, all the saints across the country in a concerted voice to all the leaders who are continuously making derogatory remarks on Sanatan Dharma, saffron and saints have warned that do not drag the saints into your petty politics, otherwise you all have to face the consequences in the form of public anger of the Sanatanis.

Jitendranand said, “’Sant Samaj’ will go door-to-door in entire Uttar Pradesh and run public awareness campaign against such pseudo socialists and Congress leaders who are continuously making unrestrained statements against Sanatan Hindus and their traditions.

He said that according to the Sanatan tradition, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is the Peethadheeshwar of a revered and respected Math across the world. In India, since ancient times, religion power has always been above the rule of law. By virtue of the right given by the Constitution to a saint, sitting on the post of Chief Minister, nobody gets the right to make him a victim of dirty politics. To target them, objectionable and low level comments should be made about the Sant Samaj.

“Leaders like SP chief Akhilesh Yadav and top Congress leader Rahul Gandhi are making such petty remarks against Sanatan Dharma only because of minority appeasement. Jitendranand Saraswati asked Akhilesh Yadav and his spokespersons to immediately apologize to the entire saint and Sanatan Samaj for insulting the saints,” he added.

He said that if Akhilesh Yadav does not apologise, then Sant Samaj will actively go door-to-door across the country and appeal for public support against such leaders who insult Sanatan Dharma and Hindus and they will have to bear the consequences.
