Lucknow, September 12: The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati has given her reaction on the statements being made by saints about Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar. She said that as they do not have the correct information about the incredible contribution of Baba Saheb, it would be better if they remain silent instead of making any wrong statements etc. on this issue.
BSP chief Mayawati has written a post on X on Saturday. She wrote that as it is known that some saints are making wrong statements about Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar to remain in the headlines everyday. Some of the saints making controversial statements have been warned by Dr. Due to lack of correct information about Bhimrao Ambedkar’s incomparable contribution in the making of the Indian Constitution, it would be better if they remain silent instead of making any wrong statements about it. Also, why do Baba Saheb’s followers oppose Manusmriti? They should definitely understand this by abandoning their casteist hatred.
Mayawati wrote that along with this, they should also know that Baba Saheb was a learned personality. The saints and sages who comment on this matter are nothing in terms of his scholarship. Therefore, they should definitely refrain from saying anything about this, this is her noble advice.
It is worth mentioning that Jagadguru Rambhadracharya had said in an interview that Dr Ambedkar did not know Sanskrit language. If he knew Sanskrit, he would not have insulted Manusmriti. This reaction of BSP chief Mayawati has come a day after his statement. However, she has not named anyone.
