Move to strengthen relations between the two nations

Washington, 16 August: The Indian defence personnel will have unescorted access to the US Defence Department Pentagon. The announcement from the US Air Force Secretary Frank Kendall, during a programme organised by Indian Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh, to mark the 75th anniversary of Independene.

The announcement is an indication of growing trust and cooperation between the two nations. Kendall said that the Indian Defence personnel wil have unescorted access to Pentagon. Kendall stated that this is an important step, as even he cannot enter the Pentagon office without an escort. The US undertakes more joint military exercises than any other nation. Both the nations have friendship for a long period and the US wishes to strengthen it further.

The drone preparing was started jointly about a year back. The technology is being shared and will continue in the future.
