New Delhi, 5 August: With frequent incursions by the Chinese Air Force and Beijing taking tough posters against Taiwan, India has warned China to keep its fighter jets away from the Ladakh border at a high-level secret military commanders meeting held recently.

India also lodged a protest against China’s provocative activities in eastern Ladakh by calling Chinese military officials. In the meeting, India made it clear to the Chinese side that their aircraft should stay within its border and follow the LAC and the 10 km ?confidence building measure? (CBM) line. This was the first such special military meeting, led by a Major General of the Indian Army with Air Force officials.

This secret meeting between Indian with Chinese military officials took place on Tuesday, when the Speaker of the US House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi was visiting Taiwan.

The meeting of officials took place in Chushul Moldo in Ladakh where India sternly warned the Chinese side to keep its fighter jets away from the Ladakh border.

India and China have declared a no-flying zone of 10 kms along the LAC on both sides as part of mutual CBM and therefore Chinese Air Force should stay within its limits.

When China’s air activities on the border in eastern Ladakh had increased, the Indian Air Force deployed its fighter aircraft in the sky to counter the ?incursions?. The fighter planes of the Indian and Chinese air forces flew continuously for several hours near the LAC, prompting the top secret official meeting.

Nevertheless, the IAF is now conducting intense night operations involving its fighter jets from a forward airbase near the China border.

Government sources said that this special military meeting was held under the leadership of a Major General with an Air Commodore also present in this meeting as the representative of the Air Force.

India not only lodged a protest against the provocative activities of China in eastern Ladakh but has given this warning to China at a time when the dragon is in a dispute with Taiwan. China has been furious since US Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s visit to Taiwan and is also conducting military exercises in areas bordering Taiwan in protest.

Earlier, Chinese fighter aircraft had come very close to the border of India. The Chinese jet first flew near Indian posts on June 28, in eastern Ladakh. After this, on July 24, Chinese fighter planes entered 10 kms inside the Indian border.

The IAF is flying MiG-29 and Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jets along with Apache attack helicopters and Chinook heavy-lift helicopters as the Chinese Air Force’s activities on the eastern Ladakh border increased. The pilots of Apache helicopters have been spotted taking off with their night vision goggles on. The highest level military leadership is regularly monitoring eastern Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh.
