New Delhi, July 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that India is rolling out the red carpet for the semiconductor industry today. India has a government dedicated to technology, demography, democracy, and reforms. In such a situation, it can be said that India is becoming a good conductor for the semiconductor sector.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated SemiconIndia 2023 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar today. He also addressed the gathering on this occasion.

The Prime Minister said that in today’s global situation, there is a need for a reliable partner to provide chips to countries around the world. In such a situation, who can be a more reliable partner than the world’s largest democracy?

The theme of the conference is Catalysing India’s Semiconductor Ecosystem’. It aims to bring together world-class leaders from industry, academia, and research institutions.

It reflects India’s semiconductor strategy and policies, which envisage making India a global hub for semiconductor design, manufacturing, and technology development. Representatives from leading companies such as Micron Technology, Applied Materials, Foxconn, SEMI, Cadence, and AMD are participating in SemiconIndia 2023.
