Lucknow, April 11: Rajnath Singh stated that India is capable of dealing with any challenge at an event on Saturday held in the Gomti Nagar area of the Lucknow.

He emphasized that no crisis will occur in the country under the BJP government. He emphasized that the country has sufficient reserves of petrol, diesel, and gas, so ignore any rumors. He stated that no country is immune to the challenges arising from the West Asian crisis, but India has successfully overcome them. He added that India remains one of the world’s fastest-growing major economies today.

Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh arrived in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, on Saturday for a three-day visit. Upon landing at the Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport, he was welcomed by Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, and Lucknow BJP President Anand Dwivedi, along with party leaders. The Defense Minister then attended the annual function of the Gomti Nagar (Lucknow) Jankalyan Mahasabha.

Rajnath Singh said, “I am also very happy to see that Lucknow is contributing significantly to the defense sector. It is a matter of pride for Lucknow that it has been declared a defense node along with Agra and Kanpur. Now, the production of the BrahMos missile has also begun in Lucknow. It is a matter of pride that its first consignment has been handed over to our army. Along with this, many other small and large factories related to defense equipment are also being established here. Lucknow’s development is proceeding under a very well-planned scheme. This is a river of development whose flow encompasses the welfare of everyone—the poor, the business community, the elderly, and the youth. Our constant effort will be to ensure that the lives of Lucknow residents are prosperous and full of amenities.”

He explained that when these 4-6 lane roads and three expressways are connected around the Outer Ring Road, Lucknow will become the largest supply center for a radius of 400-500 kilometers. This means that every essential commodity, from villages to cities, will be easily and quickly transported from Lucknow.

He informed that National Highway No. 927 is about to be constructed, starting from Barabanki near the Outer Ring Road and extending to Bahraich. This will be a 101-kilometer-long four-lane road, with service roads along the four-lane. Approximately ₹7,000 crore will be spent on this project. Its biggest benefit will be that the current two and a half hours of travel from Barabanki to Bahraich will be reduced to just one and a quarter hours. A new corridor for the development of the State Capital Region will also be built along this road.
