Hyderabad, 25 August: MLA T Raja Singh said that he did not name any religious leader or prophet in his video. His target was comedian Munawwar Farooqui.

On Thursday, MLA Singh clarified the question of the party’s suspension and show cause notice that he had not named any religious leader, while his target was comedian Farooqui. He said that when the name of any religion, religious leader, or prophet is not mentioned in his video, then the question of insult does not arise.

He said that “my statement was misrepresented in the media due to the misconceptions” whereas his purpose was not to hurt the sentiments of people of any particular religion but to target Farooqui. Responding to a question, he said that BJP President Bandi Sanjay is a Hinduist and he (Raja Singh) is also a Hinduist, so he hopes that the BJP will do justice to him.

After getting relief from the court after the arrest, the MLA was met by the Chairperson of Kakinada, Sripeetham Swami Poorananda. Swami Poorananda took complete information from the king and expressed his full support. He has also blessed the king.

It is noteworthy that two days ago MLA Raja Singh was arrested in connection with a controversial comedy video. The court had released Raja for not completing the CrPC process. The police have planned to re-arrest Raja Singh and have issued a notice under CrPC in the old cases. Rapid Action Force is deployed in the sensitive areas of Hyderabad, especially the old city.
