Highest single-day surge in Covid-19 cases in India, recovery rate also climbs

New Delhi, 19 July: The number of cases of the global pandemic novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) in the country is now increasing rapidly.

As per Health Ministry data, there have been 38,902 new cases of Covid-19 in the last 24 hours making this the highest surge ever in the country.

With this, the number of corona patients has increased to 10, 77,618.

At the same time, 543 people died in the last 24 hours from deadly virus, thus, the death toll from infection has reached to 26,816 in the country.

According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday morning, there are 3, 73,379 active cases of coronavirus in the country.

At the same time, 23,672 patients have been cured in the last 24 hours in the country. So far, 6, 77,423 patients have been recovered from highly contagious disease.

With this, the country’s recovery rate has increased to 62.86 percent.
