Hamirpur, 10 April: In the Archaeological Survey conducted for a month in Hamirpur district of Uttar Pradesh, a beautiful lake spread over an area of three acres has been unearthed where the evidence of the existence of ‘Adi Manav’ (Primal Human) is being found by the Department of Archeology.

This entire area was a cachet in those times, where wild animals and deer used to be there. Primal humans used to spend their lives hunting these animals.

Dr SK Dubey, Regional Archaeological Officer of Bundelkhand Jhansi, surveyed with the team in 36 villages of Muskara region of Hamirpur district, he was stunned to see the remains and heritage of human civilization. The team has also collected all the evidence after taking the terrestrial review of the ancient and interesting temples, specialties.

The regional archeology officer (RAO) said that on terrestrial investigation of the lake spread over three acres in Nurea village of Muskara region; it became clear that it was a river before the Stone Age.

“Today, this lake is in an inaccessible area, where exotic birds have camped in abundance. These birds are vegetarian. They have not been seen even around the ponds of Rajasthan. Algae and grass roots exist in the foothills of the lake. This is also the favorite food of birds. There were small deer around the lake, which are rarely seen now,” he added.

He informed that a letter will be sent to the District Magistrate (DM) and Forest Department soon to develop the lake as tourism so that this lake can become a center of attraction for tourists.

Due to dense forests and alluvial area, humans used to live in the plateau area

Regional Archaeological Officer Dr SK Dubey said on Saturday that Hamirpur area of Bundelkhand was surrounded by dense forests and cachar before human civilization. The lake found in the forest near Nuria village in Muskara region is also at least one lakh years old. This lake is in an area of three acres.

He further said that around the lake, evidence has been found of living of human beings, from which they used to hunt wild animals and the animals living in the lake. All the area around Nurea was the Cachar area at that time. That is why Adi Manav had built accommodation in the Kulpahar area of Mahoba. After the change in the weather, when the water in this area became less, then the early humans had built their hideout around this lake. Stone tools, utensils confirm the existence of human civilization.

Rivers thousands of years old are also converted into rivulets

Archaeological officer apprised that there were many rivers in Hamirpur district ten thousand years ago. It was always raining at that time. The entire area was surrounded by water and forests. ‘Adi Manav’ encamped in this area after the weather was normal. Initially, Adi Manav lived in mountainous areas and near the Dhasan River. After that, human civilization developed in the Cachar region of Hamirpur. Rivers prior to human civilization are now transformed into rivulets. Many ancient drains have also been found in the survey, which have become disastrous today.

He said that even earlier, thousands of years old stone pelts, utensils and tools were found in the archaeological survey at Dagawan and Musahi Mauja of Gohand Block which is very precious from the archaeological point of view. Remains of the Stone Age were found in the excavation of the ancient mound during the construction of the road in Jamra village also.
