Mumbai, August 06: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has registered an FIR against six people on Thursday in the case of the death of film actor Sushant Singh Rajput.

The FIR includes names of Riya Chakraborty as main accused, her father Indrajit, mother Sandhya, brother Sowik, manager Samuel Miranda, Shruti Modi and others.

The CBI has set up a special police force investigating the Sushant suicide case, the responsibility of which has been handed over to Gujarat cadre IPS officer Manoj Shashidhar, joint director of the CBI. The SIT has started an investigation into the matter.

Meanwhile, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is also investigating the transfer of money from Sushant Singh Rajput’s account to Riya’s bank account in this case.

On Thursday, the ED has questioned Riya Chakraborty’s manager Samuel Miranda in this case. In the same case, the ED is also going to interrogate Riya Chakraborty on Friday.

According to ED sources, the list of questions has been prepared for Riya to be questioned, so the ED will inquire Riya in three stages.

It is noteworthy that the body of Sushant Singh Rajput was found at his residence in Bandra on June 14. In this case, on July 25, Sushant’s father KK Singh has lodged an FIR in Rajiv Nagar police station of Patna (Bihar) against six people including son’s girlfriend Riya Chakraborty on charges of extortion, blackmail, torture and abetment to suicide.

However, after the case was registered, a four-member investigation team of Patna Police reached Mumbai on July 27. The Bihar Police has alleged that the Mumbai Police did not cooperate. Now the CBI will initiate further investigation after taking investigation report from the Bihar SIT so far.

Prior to this, the main accused Riya Chakraborty has filed a petition in the Supreme Court to transfer the investigation of the FIR registered in Patna to Mumbai, which Sushant’s father and the Bihar government have opposed in the court.
