Foreign nationals residing in India now eligible for Covid-19 vaccination

New Delhi, August 09: Foreign citizens living in India will also now be able to get vaccinated to protect against global pandemic coronavirus disease.

On Monday, the Union Health Ministry has issued a rule in this regard for foreign nationals.

According to the ministry, foreign nationals will be able to register for the vaccine on the CoWin portal through passport. After registration, they will be issued a slot for the vaccine.

According to the ministry, a large number of foreign nationals are living in the country. There are a significant number of them especially in the metropolitan cities. There is a possibility of spreading corona infection in these densely populated cities. To protect against corona, the ministry has made arrangements to get all foreign nationals vaccinated.
