FIR against Ganesh Acharya for sexual harassment

Mumbai, 06, Febraury: The Mumbai Police has registered a case against Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya for sexual harassment. A second First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against Bollywood choreographer Ganesh Acharya, police said.

Famous choreographer Ganesh Acharya is again embroiled in controversy. A female choreographer has allegedly accused Ganesh Acharya of sexual harassment.

After a recent assistant dancer lodged an FIR against the choreographer, another choreographer now approached the National Commission for Women and revealed that Ganesh Acharya had forced her to have sex with him in 1990, but she had narrow escaped successfully.

However, Acharya denied the allegations for the second time and said that he was being defamed.

The female choreographer said in the complaint that when she came to know that a case has been filed against Ganesh Acharya earlier on the complaint of a woman, she told her story and filed a case against the choreographer. The victim has also said in the complaint that she knew another woman with whom Ganesh Acharya had done the same thing.

The first case was filed on January 28, 2020 by a 33-year-old assistant choreographer in which it was said that Ganesh Acharya has been allegedly forcing the victim to watch the adult video and also asked the victim to pay cut money from her income.

The report stated that Ganesh Acharya had been harassing the complainant ever since she became the general secretary of the Indian Film and Television Choreographers Association.
