Lucknow, October 18: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday flagged off the first consignment of BrahMos missiles manufactured at the BrahMos Aerospace unit in Lucknow.
On this occasion, Rajnath Singh warned Pakistan, saying that “Operation Sindoor” was a trailer for Pakistan. Every inch of Pakistan’s land is within the reach of BrahMos. Now the enemy cannot escape BrahMos.
Addressing the ceremony, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that today is an important day for the people of Uttar Pradesh. Seeing the development of Uttar Pradesh and Lucknow is a joy, but today, when such a major achievement related to the defense sector is being achieved on this land, a sense of pride along with happiness also naturally arises in me. Lucknow is playing a key role in defense manufacturing.
Defense Minister said that India has the power to transform its dreams into confidence. This confidence gave us strength in Operation Sindoor. He said that victory has become a habit for us, and this habit must be strengthened further. The world witnessed the power of the BrahMos missile in Operation Sindoor. Every year, approximately 100 missile systems will be manufactured from the Lucknow unit. BrahMos has become the backbone of the Navy, Army, and Air Force.
Rajnath Singh said that Lucknow is not just a parliamentary constituency for him; it resides in his heart. Lucknow has become not only a city of culture but also a city of technology. Now it has become a city of industry. Every step taken from here has enhanced the credibility of BrahMos as well as Lucknow. This project symbolizes India’s growing confidence and strength. He said that earlier, Uttar Pradesh was a state of hooliganism. Uttar Pradesh is now ready for any challenge. Uttar Pradesh is ready to take on all challenges, both internal and external.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated on this occasion that BrahMos is capable of protecting the country. The entire world is familiar with the power of BrahMos. It will be difficult for the enemy to escape from the BrahMos missile.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, former Deputy Chief Minister Dr. Dinesh Sharma, Mayor Sushma Kharwal, Rajya Sabha MP Brijlal, and BJP Metropolitan President Anand Dwivedi were present on the occasion.
