Smooth execution of cow shelter

Lucknow, Sept 27 : Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary Rajendra Kumar Tiwari has directed all the District Magistrates and CDOs to ensure necessary arrangements for the smooth execution of cow shelter site in the state. He said to plant trees in order to provide shade for the cattle and also to ensure proper arrangement to prevent the cattle running away from the cow shelter site. He also added to fill the fodder register daily so that the allocated sum for feeding the cattle should be used transparently.

Chief Secretary has given this directive through a circular issued to all the DMs and CDOs for the proper maintenance of cow shelter sites. He also added to build crib (Naand) in the cow shelter site to assist feeding during rain or in the sun. He also said to ensure strict action against those illegal elements who try to damage the wire fencing of the cow shelter site. He has directed to dig ponds at the places where the soil can retain water. 

He has directed the concerned officials to dispose the problem arising during the time of inspection on the spot for proper execution of cow shelter site. Necessary circulars have been also issued earlier in this regard.
