Noida, 8 Nov: The Noida Police questioned Youtuber Elvish Yadav early Wednesday over the suspected usage of snake venom during a party, police said.

Yadav, the Bigg Boss OTT winner, was among those implicated in an FIR filed here last week under the Wildlife (Protection) Act of 1972.

“Yadav has become involved in the investigation. On Tuesday, he arrived at the police station at 11.30 p.m. He was then interrogated for almost two hours before being released. He will be summoned again,” said a senior official of the Noida Police, who asked to remain anonymous. The police have already requested that the five persons detained in the case be held in custody.

On November 3, five persons were detained at a banquet hall in Sector 51, and nine snakes, including five cobras, were retrieved from their possession, along with 20 ml of suspected snake venom.

However, police stated that Yadav was not present at the party venue and that they were investigating his participation in the larger case of snake venom usage as a recreational drug, which was uncovered by the animal rights organization PFA (People for Animals).
