New Delhi, January 16: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will elect its new National President on January 20. The party formally announced the process for the election of the National President here on Friday and said that under the BJP’s Organisation Festival-2024, nominations for the election of the National President of the party will be accepted from January 19 and the name of the President will be officially announced on January 20.
According to the schedule released by BJP’s National Election Officer and Rajya Sabha MP Dr K Laxman, this entire process will be completed at the party’s Central Office, 6-A, Deendayal Upadhyay Marg, New Delhi. As per the election schedule, the National Electoral Board list will be published on Friday, January 16 at 12 noon. After this, nominations will take place on Monday, January 19. On the same day, nomination papers will be filed from 2 pm to 4 pm, scrutiny of nomination papers will take place from 4 pm to 5 pm and the time for withdrawal of nominations has been fixed from 5 pm to 6 pm.
After the completion of the nomination process, a press statement will be issued by the National Election Officer at 6:30 pm.
As per the schedule, if necessary, the voting process will be conducted on Tuesday, January 20, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, after which the new National President of BJP will be officially announced.
