Bijnor, March 7: The Bijnor Police has arrested three accused in the murder of Dr Rajkumar at his Nagina clinic, including his former doctor-partner who allegedly ordered the killing, the shooter, and the pistol supplier, all of whom confessed during interrogation, apprised Superintendent of Police Abhishek Jha on Saturday.
According to the SP, the deceased doctor’s former partner, also a doctor, paid ₹ 10 lakh to have the doctor killed. The two had previously opened a hospital named Sumitra, but after a dispute over bank debt, they separated. Dr Rajkumar subsequently opened his own hospital named Shivalaya. This incident was carried out as revenge. The doctor had planned the murder six months ago and given an advance of two lakh rupees. Police have sent all three accused to jail. They registered a case and began an investigation. The accused were identified through questioning family members, surveillance, and CCTV footage.
As per the police information, the police arrested the main accused, Dr Neeraj, a resident of Tibri in Dhampur, along with accused Vikas alias Chhotu, and Aryan alias Rajan, a resident of Madhi. Police interrogation revealed that Dr Rajkumar’s former partner, Dr Neeraj, had orchestrated the murder. Accused Vikas alias Chhotu stated that in 2018, Dr. Neeraj (physician) and Dr. Rajkumar (pediatrician) worked together at Yatharth Hospital in Ghaziabad and were also friends. In 2022, they opened Sumitra Hospital on the Nagina-Dhampur Road. However, due to a disagreement, Dr Rajkumar separated in 2023 sans settling all the accounts. This financial dispute led Dr Neeraj to plot Dr Rajkumar’s murder.
During interrogation, Vikas revealed that he was from Dr Neeraj’s village and had been driving his car since the hospital opened. He had been paid 10 lakh rupees for Dr Rajkumar’s murder, of which he had received approximately 2.20 lakh rupees in advance. Vikas, alias Chhotu, borrowed the pistol from Rajan to carry out the crime.
