Lucknow, 10 Jan: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged authorities not to cut farmers’ electricity connections owing to unpaid payments. Adityanath issued the directives while meeting with public representatives in the divisions of Agra, Saharanpur, Azamgarh, Jhansi, and Moradabad to assess development projects.

Adityanath stated that the government’s primary priority was to defend the interests of the ‘annadata’ (farmers), and that their energy connections should not be severed owing to non-payment of bills. The UP Power Corporation has also issued orders in this respect.

“Power disconnection has been observed in certain places. This is simply unacceptable. The Chief Minister’s Office has taken note of it and will take strong action against those responsible, the chief minister said according to a government release.

“Today, more than nine lakh animals have been protected in impoverished livestock shelters running in the state,” Adityanath said, adding that the stray cattle problem will be permanently fixed soon.? The plan of providing Rs 900 per month to farmers who want to retain livestock is also working well. MPs/MLAs who are interested in such plans should endeavour to link the general people with them. Livestock shelter capacity is also being extended to help safeguard poor cattle. At the development block level, we are also constructing enormous livestock shelters. MPs and MLAs should work together to ensure the availability of land for this project,” he stated.

Adityanath stated that the Uttar Pradesh Global Investor Summit would be held from February 10 to 12.

“In light of this unique occasion, ‘Team UP,’ which travelled to welcome investors from throughout the country and beyond the world, has received investment offers totaling more than ?12 lakh crore from the industry. The summit would contribute to the state’s objective of reaching a $1 trillion economy by 2027,” he said according to the release.

By organising district investor conferences, some districts recently obtained investments worth hundreds of crores. He emphasised that similar measures should be done in all districts. The chief minister also urged that all MPs and MLAs engage in discussion and keep frequent contact with local entrepreneurs, company owners, and migrant workers to enlighten them about the state government’s industrial and sectoral policies.

He encouraged MPs and MLAs to publicise the state government’s new industrial policy with the assistance of district administrations, the Industrial Development Department, Invest UP, and the Chief Minister’s Office. Adityanath also directed MPs and MLAs to continue examining development projects in their respective districts.

Speaking of Ayodhya, Kashi, and Mathura, the chief minister stated that because to their historic splendour, these sites are earning global renown. He stated that the action plan to reinforce 84 Kosi Parikrama Marg in the Braj area should be finished on schedule, and that people’s representatives should work to improve connection in the villages connected to the Parikrama Marg.

He also stated that the Chhatrapati Shivaji Memorial should be erected in Agra while respecting popular opinion, and that MPs and MLAs should develop a better action plan in collaboration with the Culture Department and the district administration.

The government is determined to find an appropriate answer to the Thana and Tehsil Diwas grievances. According to him, public representatives should verify the preparations and guarantee that concerns are handled within the time frame.
